I've always thought he looked like a spoiled, sullen, sulking 8-yr-old who had been told he had to finish his spinach before he could have any desert.
To those asking "Should he have screamed and run out?"
Guidelines for this site forbid me to comment other than to say, no, he should have said, "Well, kids, I'm sorry, but I have to go do some President stuff that just came up. You keep reading."
But he was waiting for someone to tell him ("The Decider") what to do, and seemed to feel he was being punished unfairly, or was waiting to be punished by mommy and daddy.
Lower lip out, all pouty "I don't WANT to!" kinda look. Like an immature child.
Much like he's acted all along, come to think of it.

No. Bush shows all the signs of ADD or attention deficit disorder. He may also be dyslectic. W's mother taught him words and phrases with flash cards until he was 11 years of age. That doesn't mean he can't be successful. Many famous people have dealt with ADD. What they can't do is digest a great deal of information quickly. George Bush went into overload mode that day in Sarasota, Florida while reading My Pet Goat to a kindegarten class. His mind locked up. W was incapable of taking action due to his affliction(s).

You mean when he sat for 7 minutes after play reading and looked like a complete chicken that he is, he looks strange to me all the time. I seen the children that were in that class wrote in that they thought he had wet his pants, they said he had the strangest look on his face , so whatever.

so running around in panic is suppose to calm the scared American who is looking for our leader for answers? I felt more comfort because he had that look of "dont worry, i'll deal with it!!!" the boy is bad i tell you (that means good)
