Truth be told, Pennylvania doesn't have much of anything going for it nowadays (trust me, I live there). It does however, have a very rich history. One thing you could write about is the coal mines. They are still one of the biggest producers of anthrecite coal. Influential American writer John O'Hara was born in Pennsylvania, and many of the towns in his stories are based on towns near his hometown of Pottsville. There is a real live ghost town in Pennsylvania, called Centralia. The mine underneath this town caught fire, and forced nearly the entire well-populated town to move, leaving only 3 or 4 structures still standing. Some of these are homes of people who were offered substantial amounts of money by the owners of the coal mine to move for safety reasons, but they refuse, because Centralia is their home. Pottville, the hometown of John O'Hara is also the location of the oldest brewery in America, the Yuengling Brewery. Hazelton, a relatively large city, is the center of the illegal immigrant dispute. It is trying to pass laws to forbid landlords to rent to people who cannot prove they are american citizens, among other laws. Pennsylvania is also the home of Philadelphia, the nations first capital. America's largest free admission park, Knoebel's, is also located here. Pennsylvania is the home of Hershey Foods, and in the town of Hershey, the lampposts are shaped like Hershey Kisses. There are many things about Pennsylvania you could write a paper on. As for a title, I think it depends exactly what about Pennsylvania you are writing about.

Steel.

In the past, Pennsylvania was a top steelmaking location. The Monongahela Valley from Donora to Pittsburgh had something like half the world's steelmaking capacity in1950, and there were also significant mills in Johnstown, Bethlehem, Steelton, Coatesville, and Fairless Hills. Some of these places still produce steel, but steelmaking is long gone from Johnstown, Bethlehem, and most of the Monongahela Valley.

America's (and for a time the world's) two largest steel companies, US Steel and Bethlehem Steel, were headquartered in Pennsylvania. Sadly, Bethlehem Steel no longer exists (the company went bankrupt in 2003), and US Steel is a shadow of its former self. The largest steel company in the United States is Mittal-Arcelor, headquartered in Europe, with majority ownership by Lakshmi Mittal, originally from India.

So, in keeping with what others have answered here, the grandest part of Pennsylvania may be its past. The coal, steel, and railroad industries were all interrelated (coal companies needed railroads to move coal--railroads needed iron and then steel rails--the steel industry needed coal to make coke--steel mills needed rail service), and there's a significant tie between all three to Lehigh University, a great engineering school in Bethlehem, which over the years received millions in funding from these industries, while producing scientists and engineers to work in them. But the steelmaking and coal mining are mostly gone, the railroads are less significant than in the past, and the past may be more significant than the present.

Everything dealing with the revolution, second only to Boston, we had alot of happeneings here, well maybe even more, btu Boston takes number one because that is where it all started. Did you know that Pa was the first state to officially ratifiy the U.S.Constitution, but Delaware is considered to be the first states and PA second because they had better postal dlivery or somethign like that. We are also known for our coal industry out in Western PA, Penn State of course, the poconos, the Liberty Bell, Ben Franklin, Gettysburg...etc
