Have a go at you for being a smoker even if you're considerate and don't smoke around them but they still moan about it? Don't you think some people should just mind their own business and stop being a git about it?

I know, I am a smoker and I don't smoke around people who are non smokers. I am always respectful of others. I even smoke outside when I am in a smoking environment just to not add more cloud. I don't care what they think I am skoking wherever and if they can't respect me f*** em.

The worst of all is the ex smoker, especially when they've only been off them a few weeks.

"You should give that up.
It's not good for you.
You'll save loads of money.
It stinks.
Filthy habit" to quote but a few.

"I feel great after stopping, and I don't need one. They are disgusting. I won't ever touch another cigarette in my life"

And there they are 3 to 6 months later, standing in the same cold damp smoking area at work with the rest the smokers.

"I started again. Problems, I had a crisis and well you know how it is.
We're not to anti social then, us smokers are we. we accept your weakness.

It's hard to stop smoking. It's addictive ya know!!!!

We came up in a society that saw it as socially acceptable, and the government made a fortune in taxes off it and still do so they let it ride.
Now they're putting out the message we should all stop, banning it everywhere. But where are they going to find the revenue in lost tax? now that's a question all on its own.

I agree, It's not good for you, it smells and it's costly.
I think there should be designated smoking area's

I wish everyone could just stop at the drop of a hat.

What I don't need is abuse for doing it. I'll stop when I'm damned good and ready. But when I do stop I'll stay off it and I won't nag those that haven't yet come to the hard-fast decision to do it for themselves.

Yes I do think people should mind their own business, I used to be a smoker 1year ago. Just because someone smokes doesn't make them any different than someone who is addicted to chocolate or anything else. It's your business.

I'm an ex-smoker and used to feel the same as you. But since I quit and can no longer stand the smell, I can understand the beef people have with it. Thank you for being a courteous smoker. Wish more smokers were.

Well if you're considerate I'd leave you alone and appreciate the courtesy you've shown me by not smoking in my face, but most smokers like to light up anywhere and they don't ask if it's ok. I don't care if YOU smoke, but don't make ME smoke with you.

I think you're right. If you don't smoke around them then it shouldn't be a problem. But then agagin it depends on who the people are. If tehy'resome random a**h**** then you shouldn't care what they say. But if it's friends or family maybe they just want the best for you nad are trying to tell you that smoking isn't good at all and it only harms you.

It is my business as my tax dollars pay for health costs. I don't want to ***** about it or else it may get u to light up another. I only mention it to people I care about, but I'm not going to rant and rave over it. It's an addiction, so I treat it that way. We are all addicted to something. All my family smoked and my father died at an early age because of it. I miss him dearly and it would be nice to have him around.

Blessings to you,

Daniel

Well, I'm a non-smoker, and I don't really mind if people smoke around me, OUTDOORS.

What I DON'T like is for example: we have a smoke free campus, and people STILL smoke right by the entrance ways to the doors to the buildings, which means you have to walk through a cloud of smoke to get to your class. That's not cool. I dont like people blowing smoke in my face, and I dont like people smoking in a car with me in. The air quality in closed spaces doesn't allow for circulation of the air, and I don't like my hair and clothes smelling like cigarettes. If you wanna smoke, knock yourself out...but don't let it affect me in ANY way (to include my clothes and stuff smelling like cigarettes)

People tend to disrespect people who make stupid decisions, such as choosing to smoke. People should mind their own business. Its your choice if you want to get lung cancer, Not anyone else's. they should let you slowly lose control of your nicotine addiction if that is what you really want. They should just go on with their lives and worry about their own bad decisions.
