The very best way is with a transmission fluid exhanger. This machine is connected in series with one of the transmission cooler lines and exchanges all of the fluid in the transmission, probably around 10-12 quarts for your vehicle. You can drop the pan, but this will only remove 3-5 quarts, and the majority will be left in the transmission body and torque converter. Probably, the only way to do this the right way is to take it to a repair facility where they have one of these $1,000-$2,000 machines. Ask for the BG service, which will include a cleaner that is run through the transmission for a few minutes in all gears to remove deposits, gums and varnish, then flushed and finished with a conditioner/additive package to help condition seals and extend the life of clutches and components. Another reason that I recommend going to an ASE Blue Seal rated shop is that it is very important to get the correct transmission fluid, and I would not trust this decision to someone lightly since the wrong fluid can cause the vehicle to not move immediately, or may cause premature failure down the road. You can find facilities with this elite certification on ASE.com.

Theres no drain plug on those transmissions, you have to take the pan out slowly and let it drain
