Be sure the storage behind the rear seat is clear and open. Lower all 4 windows. Disengage both header clamps (one on each side over the visor). Press button to lower. To raise, reverse procedure. If you are having problems with the motor, it is also behind the back seat. You will have to remove the storage liner to get to it, but disconnect the lines as the others stated and lower top manually.

That will work. I have a 95 and after my vert top went out I just unhooked the hoses from the motor and now do it manually. Better have a cup or bowl to catch the fluid when you pull it off.

okay when you get in look up at your headliner there should be velcro snaps pull the liner back and there is a lever on both sides, pull them to you,next there is a button in the middle of the console by your right armrest push it top should fold back nice and easy good luck.

go into your trunk, dissengage the hydraulic pump cause apparently its not working, undue the hand clamps by the driver and passenger doors and manually push the top up and back to the stow away hatch
