Its so annoying my computer doesn't recognise my mp3, even though all the software is on it. At first it worked and could download music to my mps but lately it never works. Could I have damaged the wire?please help!

this happened to me, and unfortunately I had to reset the whole player.

Before that, first try a simple reset and stick a pin into the hole near the base.

If it still doesn't work, stick the pin into the hole and press the play button at the same time. This will take you to the recovery menu where you can run a "clean up." This will remove the entire contents of the mp3 player, but it will hopefully solve the problem and then you can resubmit the music.

You may want to call the zen company first, although I hear their customer service is less than ideal.

The battery depleted it's self or is too low to recognize your PC. Recharge it for 4 to 6 hours and look at the mp3 and it will tell you when its done. Tell me if this works??

this happens to me a lot, or it used to. frst i would try reconnecting it. sometimes that didn't work. so i just turned the computer off(unconnecting the mp3), then back on again and reconnected. it usually works. if nothing else you can reinstall the software, or try running it with the disc in.
