personally i almost always think the originals are the best. and the same goes for the pirates series. the second one seemed too 'involved' almost. idunno. i'm still planning on going to see 'at world's end' on the first day of its release [2 months and 1 day away =)], but what are you all planning to do???

Every now and then a movie (or series of them) comes along that changes the way people make films, see films, write films and think about films. POTC is in that category. It's a phenomenon.
It's kind of like Jack, himself, noted when Norrtington said "you're the worst pirate I've ever heard of". Jack replied, "but you HAVE heard of me". That was the important thing.
You may not be that excited about seeing POTC3 but you ARE planning on seeing it.
That's why the movies keep getting made.

I'm not in any big rush to see it. I know Capt. Jack Sparrow is alive, and that's all that matters really. I will probably end up going to of my friends if they ask. I actually thought the first and second movies were good. I do agree with you though, most originals are the best.

the internet action picture Database had it up as Pirates of the Carribean: At international's end or something, yet now they only have it as Pirates of the Carribbean 3. they're probable changing it.

Its a trilogy...I've gotta see the last one. The first two were great movies and the fact that the second seems too involved makes it a good pirate movie!

I agree, originals are best and nothing beats the first one. I wasn't THAT excited about the second, but I still saw it and liked it. Now that I'm used to where the story is going, etc, I'm getting really excited about the third one! I'm most intrigued that Barbossa is back... he was such a cool villain, I missed him in the second one. Anyway, yeah. Can't wait.

I'm gonna do a marithon of watching both movies the day before I see it, and I'll probably watch it with my other Pirates fanatic friend hopefully in theatres! I can't wait!!! Is it may 25th yet?

personally, i couldn't care less. Orlie's a f*g, Knightly is a doxie with no personailty and versatility (she plays herself the same no matter what the role). Depp is the biggest f*g of all... but I LOVE JACK SPARROW! i'll see it eventually, just like I saw the desicration that was the Eragon movie from FOX (the bastards), but it's probably gonna tank anyway. dead man's chest was alright, but i wouldn't watch it over and over.....

I was really disappointed with the second one. It really wasn't as good as the 1st, so I'm not sure I'll like the 3rd... Still, I guess I'm gonna give it a chance!
