The compliance team, ensure that all laws etc are followed, including company policy, things lke the DPA, they can also deal with complaints from customers, which may have legal implications.

Ensure that the company is staying in compliance with the regulations they need to follow; ISO, FDA, DEA, SOX, cGMP, etc.
