what day and time is there?

Dominican Republic is on Eastern Standard Time (EST). However, keep in mind that they do not do Day Light Savings (I believe the US is the only country that does Day Light Savings). So in the Spring we are on the same time. Once we 'fall' back an hour in the fall, is when there is a difference in the times. So right now its 9:55AM in New York, so its 9:55AM in Dominican Republic.

Say that in November its 9:55AM in New York, because thats after Day Light Savings and the US is an hour behind, it will be 10:55AM in Dominican Republic.
