Does anybody know what would make my nails grow longer? They're really short, and I would like them to be longer by the weekend thats coming up for a special occasion. Any ideas? I would greatly appreciate it. THANK!

I've thought of fake nails but I was trying to see if anything else would work.

you can't grow them by the weekend, but if you gently trim and push back the cuticles, you could give the illusion that they're longer. a good time to do this is after a shower.

Its almost impossible to see any significant growth in one week. However you should try to protect them by not using your hands to do anything that might damage your nails. Keep them moisturized, especially after washing you hands. A proper diet or a daily vitamin will help make your nails become naturally stronger.

If you want them to be longer by the weekend you might need to think about nail extensions, maybe having them professionally manicured might make them appear longer.
Long term, a high calcium diet might help make them stronger and maybe using a clear nail polish regularly to help strengthen them and prevent breakage.

by the weekend, lol , no. file the snags often, use a nail polish, nail strengthners... get your nails done if yu need some by this weekend, or buy the ones from the store they work for a few days.

if you dont have enough time to grow them you could always get the fake ones put on at a salon, they usually look really nice =]
