I happen to like cats...so much easier to care for than most dogs - I'd have one now if the apartment complex I live in had reasonable deposit rates.

No the eyes are not the cat's problem, I would buy it something to scratch on like a Cat Tower and every time he scratches everything move him to the tower that will teach him ;o(

Taking an animals sight is the worst thing you could do. The best thing to do is de-claw the animal. Its costs like $50 is some places but that is a small price to pay compared to the furniture costs...

I WAS AT A NEW GIRLFRIENDS HOUSE AND WE WERE GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN,,,IN THE DARK, ANY WAY WHILE HAVING FUN, THE CAT SNUCK UP ON ME, HE BEGAN BITTING AND CLAWING THE "BOYS" REMEMBER IT WAS PITCH BLACK.... I WOULD HAVE HAD HIS CLAWS REMOVED, HIS EYES , AND MAYBE HIS HEART, I STILL GET A TWINGE WHEN I SEE A CAT.

Get a spray bottle keep it with you.....when the cat starts up...SPRAY the dickens out of it....it works. I even use it on my dogs...they bark at my back door...not anymore...because I opened the door once..... and sprayed them.
