Practice being humble, the next time someone gives you a compliment simply say, thank you. Then spent a few moments considering something positive about that person that you could sincerely compliment them on.
I might also suggest that you focus less on the superficial aspects of appearance. If someone compliments you on your appearance maybe you could say something like : Thank You, I was lucky to get good genes, but I really am working on being more.....fill in the blank... which is something I have control over.
I think it is sweet that you are even looking at this and asking. It shows that your working on the other forms of beauty as well

Diligence — Pursuit of Ethics
Patience — Pursuit of Peace
Kindness — Pursuit of Charity
Humility — Pursuit of Modesty

You should not be flattered by this unwanted attention. This attention is not important to your life. In fact, it may be annoying. You should concentrate on school and relationships with friends. This is the kind of superficial thing that can screw you up. It's kind of like the kid that has some art ability and his parents continually tell him how talented he is. Therefore, he doesn't go to college and decides that he is so artistic that he will just paint. He ends up not successful like the rest of his siblings. Do not fool youself. If you think you are going to be a model, millions of other girls are thinking the same. Get an education and you will be happier.

Don't think about it.
Be gracious and thankful for the compliments you're getting. You are not gonna get a big ego if you just let things go - like it's no big deal....like you're not getting anything different from what others are getting...you're just as common as the rest of us! Maybe you're more beautiful but I assure you, there are many others far more beautiful than you. That ought to keep you pretty well-grounded, I hope.
SMILE!

Realize that a big ego is an enemy and unpleasant consequences always follow. The lesson learned from the inevitable backlash to behaviors arising out of egotism bordering on sociopathy is never pleasant, although instructive.
Nip it in the bud, i would suggest, and do some reading on topic. :))
While healthy self esteem is certainly desirable, a bloated ego is not.

You seem to be talking about a physical beauty or attraction that you have. If that is the case think that it is not something you did. you came that way from the factory and it will go away sooner that you think.
the best is to start working on being a great person that I am sure you are and also study and get compliments that way. those last for ever.

remember that 90% of people complimenting you are really just trying to get in your pants. Also it helps to realize that none of those people know anything about you besides how you look. Is that really the best thing about you? and if it IS how big an ego can you have knowing THAT?

You're already doing the best thing to prevent "big-head" - you're self-aware. Accept the compliments when they come but keep the hold you have on humility and be thankful for them. Never forget that there are others who may not be as fortunate as you.
