I have 5 middle names, and it shows only my first name, my first middle name and my last name on my social security card...I haven't changed it to just one middle name in the courts yet...i've been doing this for a long time...Can i get into trouble for doing this...or is this illegal?

as long as you use the same name(s) consistently, you're fine.

You only have one middle name, if you have five names inbetween your first name and you last name then thats 7 names in total, so the middle name is the forth name! Sorted!

If it's displayed on your SS card, you're fine. My fiance has two middle names, but drops them both or uses one interchangeably with his first name, and we haven't had a problem yet.

If you are using different middle names to pose as different people for financial gain, or to escape incarceration, then yes it can be illegal.
