I know that during World War 2 the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburg Steelers merged to make a team called the "Steagles".
And then when they split the Philadelphia Eagles went back to being the Eagles, but the Pittsburg Steelers went and merged with the Chicago Cardinals to become the "Carpitts" but split after one season. Did any other teams ever merge?

In 1945 the Brooklyn and Boston franchises merged. They were called the Yanks and played home games in both cities.

The NFL is a private company. That suggested, the league proprietors and the commissioner ought to approve of somebody to purchase a team. they does not enable somebody to possess 2 communities as that would get into "anti have faith" territory. it would be exciting although to apply one team as a farm team, continually getting the quantity one %. and procuring and advertising it to the start team.
