On one hand State laws allow the use of alternative and natural medicines... But on the other hand, Federal laws forbid it; despite they are doing businesses and working, within the limits of those states! In other words, I ‘d like to know why some employers need to have Cannabis drug tests , if the states allow that sacred plant to be used as alternative medication. Hmmm ... I see a double moral in all this Am I clear?

Sure, state law enforcement officers can get prescriptions, because their obligation and oath is to enforce state laws.

So as long as it's legal in the state, they are not violating their oath of office. They're still breaking federal law, but that's no different for them than it is for any other person in the US.

federal law supersedes state law, if a police officer were to smoke marijuana he would be committing a Federal offense. and that would be breaking his employment contract with the city or county that employs him.
