It depends on where you live.
Try (if they're near you):
Five Guys
American Cafe
Moe's Southwest Grill
Glory Days
San Vito
T.G.I. Fridays

The only restaurants we'd all have in common are the chains.
I've provided a site, but the following is from personal noshing experience.
A few (very few), sitdown chains are quite good and with a few exceptions, often reasonable:
PF Chang's
Elephant Bar
Black-eyed Pea
Buca di Beppo
Famous Dave's
Old Chicago Pasta & Pizza -- really "just" OK
Outback Steakhouse -- a toss up, just passes on goodness
Red Lobster -- another toss up, depends on the location
--------------------------
Stay away from the following for various reasons, including lousy food ... "expensive for a teeny servings" or "lousy service" or "inconsistant" or "food looked held over from last week's service" or "so noisy you can't think" or "generally filthy" ...
In our area several of these have closed down because their offerings were so bad.
Cracker Barrel
Romano's Macaroni Grill -- closed
Carraba's
Fuddruckers -- closed
Applebee's
Black Angus -- closed
Buffalo Wild Wings
Chi-Chi's -- closed
Chili's
Chipotle Mexican Grill
Country Buffet -- closed
HomeTown Buffet -- closed
Denny's
Golden Corral
Hooters
Houlihan's -- closed
Howard Johnson's
IHOP
Joe's Crab Shack -- closed
Lone Star Steakhouse
Old Country Buffet -- closed
Olive Garden
On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina
Perkins Restaurant
Rock Bottom -- closed
Black Bear Diner -- closed
Ruby Tuesday
Sizzler -- closed
Tony Roma's -- closed
Village Inn
Ted's Montana Grill
Saltgrass Steak House
LOL That doesn't leave much does it?
Obviously, you've got to explore for yourself.
Happy noshing!

Well if you are in the Atlanta area here are a few suggestions:
Chops (pricey but fabulous)
Atlanta Fish Market (great food)
Atlanta Bread Company (wonderful soups and sandwiches perfect for lunch)
Three Dollar Cafe( similar to Applebee's but the food is so much better!)
here is a website that has a lot of great restaurants in the Buckhead Atlanta area: www.buckheadrestaurants.com

oh, sometimes the best food is those hole-in-the-wall places. But sometimes it is scary when trying it for the first time. Since I don't know where you are close by or what you like. I am going to say Cheesecake Factory b/c they have a little bit of everything you can try. It is heavy, and the portions are huge.

I love this little Italian place in Deerfield, IL called La Rosa. I ordered from there everyday when I was in college.

first you need to state your city. I live in Houston and my favorites places to eat are L'tour d'argent (french), Fogo di chao (all can of meats), trattoria Lorenzi (Italian, Usuki (sushi), and Red onion (sud American and TeX -Mex)
