Quarantine and if it is a known virus rather than something picked up by heuristics, delete it. Otherwise, send the suspected virus sample to a reputable vendor for analysis.

I always delete. You can quarantine if you aren't sure if the file actually contains a virus or not ie you think that you may have false positive. Virus scanners are not perfect.

Great question. You are always warned to put in quar. vs delete. Me, I delete automatically. A Quar. file is still on my computer somewhere. The delete option(s) is a no-brainer. If the file it attached to can accept the spyware, malware, or virus, I do not want it to be available again. Delete any and or all files your antivirus, spyware, malware, programs highlight. It keeps it clean and keeps it real.

Both options are good. I would delete it since it serves no useful purpose to just quarantine it so it is still on your computer.

It's better to delete it, but some can't be delete so the software quarantines them, so they wont spread.
