i found out this morning hes on the DL i was like noooo he migth be back to start the season maybe but i dont think so hes hamstring omg so like hes not going to be the yankees starter for opening day :[ who do u think it should be

Mike"The Moose" Mussina a work horse who will keep you in almost any game he pitches and Even if Wang was healthy Mussina should still be the Open Day Starter he's put in the Wrench time over the Years and as a Veteran he Deserves it.
Not to Mention I'd say he's probably one of there best pitchers even at his age.

Yes, Wang is going to miss a month. Michael Kay said that normally, he'd miss two weeks, but the injury means he has to shut it down completely, then he will need a couple more weeks to get in back in pitching shape. It's a loss, but over the first month there are a lot of off days, so he will probably only miss 4-5 starts. I think Torre will pick Pettitte if his back is OK. But you can't go wrong with either guy.
Ballzy is a genius!! Sophomore slump? I guess he forgot that this is Wang's THIRD season in the league, and that he won 19 games last year, in his sophomore season. Some slump, huh?
As for the clueless Mutts fan, enjoy watching ancient Glavine and El Duque head up your staff this season. Well, at least you have Kazmir, what an arm!!! OOPS! I forgot the Mutts traded him for the immortal Victor Zambrano!! OUCH!! My mistake!

I go with Mussina. A vet that has been around for a few years with the team. Pettitte is going where the money is and has back spasms every time someone sneezes. He better get healthy quick, or the Yanks could be 7-10 games back by hte time Wang gets back. And get a grip folks - Wang had a great year last year, but every groundball went at someone. He doesn't strike anybody out. His numbers are due to suffer this year. He will still be good, but you will NEVER see him finish 2nd in the Cy Young voting.

Two scary words for opening day Yankee fans...Carl Pavano. Wang will be back before april is out. But April is a great month for the Yankees, and they just lost half of their pitching staff. Now all you guys have is Mussina. I'm glad I'm a Red Sox fan. Sucks to be you on opening day.

He will make it back by late april, the rotation is solid we have Mussina, Pettite Igawa, Karstens, and Pavano (of all people!!!) I think things will be close for april but when Wang gets back the Yankees will run away with it.

I think it will be probably be Mussina unless Pettite can go get over his back spasms then I think Torre will wait until he has to make a decision to the individual who starts. If Wang is out it is a blow to the Yankees because he is the ace of the staff.

OMG He has been on the dl for awhile now. What kind of a Yankee fan are you that you didnt know that????!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think the starter should be Mussina. He's been there for awhile with the Yanks and didn't jump ship to go somewhere else like someone else did that we all know and still love.....

I'd go with Pettite on opening day if Mein Wang can't go! Pettite knows what its like to be a Yankee!
