The thing is he CAN fix the hole in the boat. The thing is, he's had his nose in books all his life. The man has like a thousand degrees in everything. Doesn't leave much time for women. So now that he's stranded on an island with two very attractive women, and the only competition is The Skipper and Little Buddy. I ask you, how fast would you want to fix that hole in the boat?

If he fixed the hole in the boat, they'd be able to get off the island and the show would have been over. Not good for ratings. lol lol

Because if they got off the island, they wouldn't get to stare at Ginger all day long and be stuck on a deserted island with her in hopes that she might get desparate enough to....

That and they'd have no show lol.

the show originally aired in the 1960's.
then a whole lot of concepts, ideas, possibilities, as well as question were not explored of even proffered.

my question; why it is no one was ever seen looking for them?

after all, it was supposed to be a "three hour tour"!

back then one just accepted the story line and went on to enjoy the premise of the show.

good question!

Sheesh, if you're going to make a lame joke, you can do a bit better than ripping it off from "Back to the Beach".
