If we are honest with ourselves, we prefer to hear what we want to believe is true, not necessarily what is true.
So we lie to ourselves and tell ourselves that lies are truth and truths are lies.
The first step toward authentic honesty, is knowing this about ourselves and guarding against it.

I always prefer the truth but forced to speak out false by others as they say it is more practical.
