Are there any sequals to the MOVIE, Interview with the vampire?

I know that it is from a series of books, The Vampire Chronicles, but I was wondering, were there movies made out of any of the other books? If not, are there any other vampire movies similiar to this one?

Yes. The Queen of the Damned. It was pretty good, but they changed the actors. The movie covers two books in the Vampire Chronicles- The Vampire Lestat and The Queen of the Damned. The actress who plays the old vampire Akasha was killed just before the movie was released.
