My Fiance is moving to Canada. How can we transfer her money to Canada. China will only allow a certain amount of money to leave? We want to bring $400,000 to Canada. Can this be done?

If you can provide the proof that can demonstrate you legally brought this money inside China before, you can transfer the money outsider now. Or you can prove that this money is the legal salary, income that defrayed from abroad and paid the taxation already, you can also send it out. There are also other regulations concerning on it.You can go to the local China bank or SAFE (State Administration Foreign Exchange Bureau) to check more information.

Not likely. China has strict laws on export of funds. You'll have to contact the Chinese authorities to see how much of that, if any, can be removed from the country and how to do it legally. Failing to follow their procedures will result in confiscation of the funds and a long prison term. Keep in mind that China has capital punishment for certain financial crimes.
