I m always of the opinion that Ganguly is a better captain that Dravid........ganguly has better recod of success than Dravid, Dravid can not be agood captain, he is such a soft person !.As for them being players, So there is no doubt that Dravid is a best player and still have very high worth for the team......he should be inculded as a player and Ganguly should hold the captiancy becuase he has better guts of leadership......I think this captaincy is an Addition burden for Dravid to cope with, and it is effecting his game as well......The best way to make him do something for his team is to get him free of this captaincy...he is a resposndible person and can do miracles for the team ! Sehwag is better..he can still play, he has done his job for India agaisnt srilanka , but Dravid and he can't get the victory alone ! its a team work. yes Ganguly is still very important for team...don't lose that man yet..he is a great player !Indian team is lacking the planning only , the players are good ....and i think Chappel's policies could not suit your team !! so better get a new coach ! I don't know who should be given the chance to be the captin of Indian Cricket team, but you don't have to fired Dravid. He's already fired. Well, not really fired but he is not the Captain anymore.
Dravid was specifically assigned as the captain just for World Cup. Since India has lost against Sri Lanka and there's no chance that they'll be in the Super 8, Dravid Said "I am not even the captain at this point."
So... yeah... Dravid is not the captain, unless the board decides to choose him back.

This is total ****! I mean India loses and immediately everyone blames Rahul Dravid. Why?, because he was captain at that time???? What a load of crap. It aint Dravid's fault India lost so he shouldnt be removed from his title of Captainship!
India played **** against Sri Lanka, call it bad luck or bad batting. Whatever the reason Dravid shouldnt be blamed.
Personally i think he was someone who kept the team going.. spiritually...

Dravid has to go. Between the two, Ganguly is a better captain and a fine team motivator.

I truly and honestly believe that the first mistake Indian selectors made was that of making Rahul Dravid captain of team india for the world cup. He is a great player there is absolutely no doubt about it but to lead a side in a prestigious tournament you have to have leadership qualities which, I dare say Rahul does not possess. Any team in the world would have opted to bat first under the conditions yesterday as it was a do or die match and you had to bat there first and let the opposition chase instead of chasing under pressure in a big match. There are 1000 other things which can be said about his captaincy but I feel its now useless the world cup dream is over for India and I am sorry to say Rahul Dravid is one of the responsible persons for sinking the hopes of a billion people.

Cricket is a team effort..and not a game that just the captain can decide and then win ...
Firing Dravid is not the solution. But guess changing the coach is..The Indian team is facing loads of problem due to the coach - player [not enough communication] problems!
What Indian Blue team is new strategy, new players and not just big names, better communication and oh yes..less ads and more practice.

rahul dravid is a great person and captain, he is the only person in the indian team that is consistent. sehwag is too inconsistent ganguly had his chance already if he had made good use of it he would have still been captain.

listen... a captain can advise, train his players,etc but when it comes to actually performing its up to the players.. everyone on the team ..how can any one put the blame on one man... it's absurd... dravid is not responsible for the team not making it to the super 8 or loosing matches in the past.. Dravid should not be fired.....

Well, the answer is absolutely yes. Dravid has no captinship skills, its totally proved throughout this worldcup. He doesnot have leadership skills in any manner. I think either Ganguly or Yuvraj could be the better choice for India.
