No, you cannot use Zune with iTunes. As a matter of fact, the only software you can use it with is the Zune software (which can be a major pain). As of right now, the only thing that is available on the Zune Marketplace is music, but Microsoft says they'll be changing that soon.
In my opinion, the Zune would be perfect if it had better software.
It's always lagging for me and is just a pain.
That's the only thing I can say I dislike about the Zune.

I agree with her. I'm pretty sure the Zune will only work with Zune Marketplace and songs not purchased on iTunes. Personally, the Creative Vision accepts more file types. I've had all 3, Zune, iPod, and Creative, and the Vision is the easiest to use.

No, the Zune would not artwork on iTunes. iTunes is for the apple i pods and for those in basic terms. Zune works on the Zune marketplace in basic terms. The Zune is a Microsoft product in assessment to the ipod that's an Apple product. The Zune is properly suited with the Xbox 360 as properly so which you would be able to value it on the 360, your computing gadget or via a seperate charger which you plug in to an outlet. So, in case you very own an xbox 360 it is going to artwork with that and you additionally can play songs and video precise off of it as properly. I certainly have in no way owned an ipod so i individually do no longer comprehend which one is extra ideal yet i might might desire to wager they're the two exceedingly close to to an identical. the only undesirable element is, is that the upload-ons for the Zune are plenty extra costly than the ipods are. additionally, in case you comprehend somebody else who has a Zune, you may share songs, movies, and pictures from Zune to Zune. the only undesirable element is, is that the songs and movies can in basic terms be performed for thrice or final 3 days onto the Zune that recieved the music or video and then they are in a position to't be performed anymore till that guy or woman buys them for his or her Zune. the only mp3 participant that artwork with iTunes are the ipods i've got faith and not the rest.

hi weeee! from what i read, u cannot use a zune *directly* with itunes - in other words, u can't start itunes and plug a zune in and have it interact with itunes like an ipod. what the zune marketplace software will do, however, is scan ur computer for music files and will find/import songs from ur itunes library that were *not purchased from the itunes store*.

the zune marketplace appears to have missed the boat on podcasts, video podcasts, etc. that is one of the areas that itunes/ipod simply rocks - apple makes it easy for podcast creators to publish/distribute their shows, and easy for consumers to find/download the great FREE content!

if u really love itunes (like i do!), then u might rethink ur zune purchase and pick up an ipod video. amazon has the best prices, and more than likely u will pay no shipping or tax (depending on what state u r in):

ipod 30gb video for under $240: http://www.amazon.com/Apple-iPod-video-Black-Generation/dp/B000EPNDEG/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/103-8059863-2711030?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1174757748&sr=8-2
