I my daughter is 27 wks preg. per her period she spots two or three days so, her Dr. called this a period. She felt the baby move at 16 wks and she has been leaking from her breast for the last 4 wks. She has measured big the hole time. We can see him move inside her and have for 6 to 8 wks. The Dr. told her she would not change the due date 6-11-07 but, told her what to watch for when her laber starts. Does anyone think maybe they are off a month?

This is her first baby and she is very large but, has only gained around 14 lbs. She had such a high hcg level they thought she was having twins and she has been vomiting thru out this . She is measuring 32 wks. So is this normal. There is only one baby "big baby".

The doctor will change the due date according to the weight of the baby at the ultra sound.

My doctor moved the due date up when I was pregnant with twins by 4 weeks because of their weight.

I was not really happy about this since they were born premature.

For women who have had a child before, it's definitely possible that they can feel the baby move that early, since they know what it is they're feeling due to experience. First-time moms usually feel the baby move a little later, but it's certainly not impossible that the movements of the baby could be felt at 16 weeks.

The same exact thing happened to me almost to the day!! It turned out that they were right, and that the bleeding I had for several days was normal. I was swearing that they were off a month! Well, they weren't, and I had him with 5 days of my due date. Yes you can feel the flutter of a move at 16 weeks. Happy Pregnancy & Congrats!

They could be. That happened to a friend of mine as well. They were off by a whole month--figured that out later in her pregnancy based on a whole slew of things.

Probably the only way you can be 100% certain of due dates is if the mother had in vitro or artificial insemination--because you know what days you did that. Otherwise, it's based on a formula by the first day of the last known period. Not necessarily perfect science. :)
