I found that my family came from Southern France. They had similar looks as Italians, like the dark hair, tan skin, and very dark eyes. I heard that msot French have Italian and Germanic blood in them, but I don't know how true this is.

It sounds like you believe that people don't move around! LOL! Where do you live? The U.S.? How exactly did your European ancestors get over there?

Southern France borders Italy. All Europeans in that area are descendants of the same people at one point!

Your question is very confusing. All I can tell from it is that you have some very strong assumptions.

Italy, Germany, and France are all in the same general area of the world. Borders have changed, people have moved, people travel.

Why do you say that Italians have dark hair? Haven't you ever seen a blonde Italian?

I think you'd be quite surprised if you went traveling in Europe. You'd probably learn a lot about who lives where.

Actually, since people were travelling and interbreeding throughout what is now Europe long before the present countries there existed as political entities, most southern Europeans (France, Italy, Spain) are genetically similar, as are most northern Europeans (Germany, Austria, Poland, etc.).

Most likely there are more Italians with French blood. Remember that Rome fell to Northern invaders who mixed with the Romans. France is the northern border, so many Romans are likely descended from the Gauls
