I have tried to contact the buyer all online info for the buyer has been shut down. The big problem is I sold it because I wanted out of my yard. Anyone have a suggestion as to what I can do?

I got a legitimate payment right away from the buyer. Now all of the contact information I had is no longer valid. How long must I wait before getting rid of it again?

There has been a suggestion that I'm not being honest here. That is not true. I sold the item (a 20' boat) to the buyer. Buyer knew it was a pick up only, he sent me a down payment and said he'd have a shipping company pick it up. With the remainder of the money. Then he later contacted me saying it cost to ship it was way higher than he expected so he would send the rest of the payment in a money order and pick it up in 1 month. The boat is still here and I'm just trying to see what the law states. To the gentlemen that suggested I'm being dishonest I wouldn't be trying to find an answer on what I should do if I was dishonest

Well, i don't know if i have the best answer here, but isn't there some kind of law on possession? Once he paid for it, the item is his, right? Well, if you have tried everything in your power to get in touch with the person to send it to him and he doesn't respond, after a certain amount of time, the item is yours.

So if that is the case, I would sell it again. But that is what i would do.

You need to contact eBay's claim center. I think it's under the 'security' link somewhere. Either way, get a hold of eBay authorities and tell them the whole situation. Unfortunately, you may have waited too long to try to resolve this. Did you sell it someone in the United States? I hope so. Otherwise your money is almost definitely gone for good. If you sold it within the US, the FBI backs your rights. This could, depending on the details, this could be considered postal fraud on his part which is a felony. Good luck.

When you sell something on e-bay you have to let the consumer know how you will ship it. If you did not ship it after receiving payment then that is fraud on your part. However if you did not receive the buyer's address, you should have contacted e-bay. Since your waiting a year and are asking this question, something tells me that your not being honest about the situation. Hopfully that is not true

Was there not any contact info, such as address or phone number received when you got payment?

Re advertise it on EBay and resell it the cost of your storage of the article covers whatever you have been paid for it .
