--why was it such a risk, and how did it turn out in the end?

I had a friend a few years ago whom I had a crush on.. of course, they didn't know, and neither did anybody else. I never told anybody. If anybody asked or said that I liked him or he liked me, I denied it, or dismissed it as false or impossible.
Well, later we weren't in the same class anymore, and we didn't have much time to talk to eachother anymore. We began having less and less to say, until I got the feeling that he was almost avoiding me. When we did talk, there were sometimes awkward silences. The decision I made was to stop saying hi and let him do all the talking... I thought that if he really did care, he'd say something. He didn't. We stopped talking altogether and haven't spoken in nearly two years. We still see eachother in the school halls, which is a horrible experience for me.
That's definitely the biggest risk I ever took, and the one that I regret most of all.

Performed in a play infront of a few hundred people.

I say that due to the nerves that were going on at the time. I had tons and tons of rehearsals, and was totally prepared to do it, and I did do it, but that still doesn't take away the racing nerves.

It was a risk because I could have totally destroyed the play. It was a one-night-only performance and guests were paying about $50/each. The producer had spent a massive amount of his own energy and money on the play. His reputation was totally on the line.

It turned out fine. A few minor screw-ups that nobody really noticed. I just about passed out at one point due to kneeling in an awkward position, the lead actor flubbed his lines, but got away with it.

This was a performance of the cursed Scottish Play.

I let someone steal my heart!

It was a risk, because he was my first boyfriend. I was afraid of so many things, that he would use me, that he wouldn't love me back, that it wouldn't work out.

I lost a lot of friends because of our relationship and I made a lot of enemies. I've started to find my mother extremely annoying with her nagging that I can't have a boyfriend.

Yet... in the end, I think things have gone well for us. We are still together and I've come out of it finding out who my true friends are.
