As someone working on a Doctorate in Psychology, I can say that it takes a long time, and is very involved. I am not sure of any accredited colleges that only offer online courses, however some offer a few online courses. To be a psychologist though you'll need to do practicums (16 hours a week) for about 2 years and liekly won't get paid for. Also, you'll have to do a full time internship for little pay for a year. You may want to consider social work masters degree, or a LCPC in psychology, which may prove to be a little less involved.

Check into education, school, or counseling psychology programs. They are not as intensive as a clinical psychology program. I concur with the previous answerer. If you are serious about becoming a psychologist, be prepared for the long haul in grad school, on average of 5-6 years of unpaid work. It is doubtful that you will find an accredited program on-line as much of the work you'll need is practical experience, not sitting in a classroom.

Good luck! I had a friend in grad school who had 4 kids while she was there. Not the easiest thing to do but she finished in 7 years and is very happy. Anything's possible with motivation!!!
