Do i need a network adapter if i have highspeed internet?

i have a Ps2 and i want to play my games online.I also have the older version of the ps2.i also have high speed internet.do i need a network adapter?

Yes you do.

The newer slim version of the PS2 came built in with an adapter, but even with high speed internet (I'm assuming you mean DSL or Cable) you still need to buy the Network Adapter.
