i mean how do you know if a reptile is carrying eggs

depends on the reptile how to tell but lizards and dragons the abdomen gets larger. if you seen them mate there is a HIGH probability she is. by the way all the people who say rep's don't get pregnant your right but do you know what it is called? reptiles becom "gravid" now look up the word gravid it means carrying young or eggs so why can't it be said a reptile is pregnant. it perfectly ok with me. you say tomato etc.

reptiles lay eggs, they don't carry babies, to the best of my knowledge.

If your lizard or whatever "looks" pregnant, take it to the vet, it may be "egg-bound"

If it's a lizard it will stop eating but it's belly will still be fat, and it may lose weight on it's hips, tail and back legs. Also you will evenually be able to see and feel the eggs.
