i've used both cd-r and cd-rw on nero before. now it says 'no disc inserted in drive'

could be kuz of couple things your burner is going out on you or u have the thing where u can use i dont remember what its called but it lets u format and erase your cd/dvd that could be the problem but if ur using that try taking it off i heard its not that good and messes up your burner

windows is not finding the cd because AUTORUN for the drive has been disabled, i don't know where the switch to enable it is but go to my computer, right click, find device manager, find the CD drive, and right click that, then there should be a AUTORUN check box.

make sure you have not inserted a dvd because if you have of course it wont recognise it
