I got my hubbie alot of "sentimental" gifts that reminded us of all the awesome times that we had our first year of marriage. Like, a framed picture of one of our favorite memories or a gift certificate to your favorite restaurant together.

We went away for a weekend getaway the first year. We also did a lot of over-spending this first few years...Hmmm.

If you don't have a lot of money then cook him a candle lit dinner at home and buy some sexy lingerie. Also look online for things he might enjoy...like edible undies, edible condoms, chocolate body paints or sex games you can play together.

Make a trail of rose pedals from the front door to the bed/bath and fill the tub with a few added rose pedals and some floating candles. Keep the spark alive and you will keep the marriage alive!

Excellent question! My hubby and I just celebrated our first wedding anniversary & I gave him nothing-- but the best 4 days/3 nights very romantic get-away to a secluded resort in an island in the pacific.

I'm still working on the second anniversary:) but for the first we "re lived" our first meeting. We met at a street dance food stand. So we went to the restaurant that set up the stand and ordered the same thing (I never told him but I hated the food;)

A nice home cooked meal should be enough until you really know what he really wants to buy. May be a mobile phone, an Ipod or another such gadget on the market.
