My email folder get emptied somehow all the time. What is going on. A little sign says that my trash can be emptied at any time. Is that yahoo doing that or a hacker.

if your trash is in there for a couple days, or even one, it will empty on its own....and a hacker would be smarter than to just empty your trash...cuz then you would find out....and change your pass. new address...ect.

You don't say what you're using to read your email. Are you using Thunderbird, Outlook, web-based email?

I know Thunderbird has a setting which says to empty the trash upon exit. Maybe there's a preference in your mail reader that does the same thing that you can switch off.

Any content in trash folder is subject to deletion any time,
see Yahoo rules.

If you do not want less important files to appear in the 'inbox',
you can move them to selective folders - they will not be
deleted by Yahoo.

Tick on the file. Click on Move. Click on New Folder.
Give a new name.

Its probably yahoo. if you have too much stuff in your account then it will delete what you have in trash can when you sign out.
