I love to draw, and would like to learn new techniques.
Do you know of any great places [webpages] that show intristing ideas or techniques?
Thanks.

Elfwood.com (http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/elfwood.pike) has lots of useful tutorials at http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/farp/, most involve fantasy but can be quite useful anyways. They have pencil, watercolor, and other fun stuff. And you can always do google/ yahoo searches on any specific instruction you would like.

Start off by doing basic observational drawing off everyday objects(remember to use guidelines to make objects more symmetrical and practise doing ellipses). When you have done this draw lightly in your background, remembering to look at proportion. Observational drawing is great as you can use all sorts of materials, try arcylic paints or soft pastel. Pen and ink is great if you use a wash as a background. Do look a other artists but remember eveyone is different so try and combine techniques and used mixed media to create an amazing effect. Have fun!
