Actually, I am an outcast, I have AS and it took a loooooooong time to get used to.
For me, it's a question more of do I care whether or not I am an outcast. When my first husband died, his best friend and his wife told me that they never really did like me, that my husband was the only reason that they'd spent any time with me. I haven't spoken to them since, even though they were my daughters' God Parents. "Friends" like them, I don't need.
I'll tell you what, It's much easier to be happy as an outcast at my age than it was in middle and high school.

If you feel comfortable with who you are and can talk to people with out problems of insecurity or feelings of low self worth your not an outcast
