sometimes if i save it keeps the file but if i turn it off again it erases it, is there any other way besides taking it apart and replacing the battery?

maybe you are cutting it off to soon i never had that problem

There isn't really any way to fix it--I had the same problem with Pokemon Silver. However, sending it in to Nintendo will do no good. This is because GBC games are no longer made by Nintendo. Your best bet would be to find a new one, maybe at a used game store, or even ebay.

your Internal Battery On Your Game Pack Is Dead... You Can Send It Back To Nintendo To Get it Replaced, Or You Can Replace It Your Self... I Can Not Put Any Links, As It Will Void Your warranty(Google It...)
