On the contrary sometimes there is blood in the tissue so it is best to look it could be a sign of a serious sinus infection....don't expect is to only be snot all the time lol

This has always made me wonder why do people do that.
Another thing I learned is that most people (mainly guys) look in the toilet after doing #2. It's like they have to see what they created.

sometimes, when I have been in especially dirty work environments, or when I have sprayed lots of India ink for art project. To see what bad stuff made it into my system from the air that I breathe (glad I don't live in LA or Houston, IMHO the worst!!

All the time. It's like when you wipe yer buttocks after pooping. You have to look at the toilet paper . Wipe till the paper's clean, right?

You should look. The color of it will clue you in to the fact that you may have an infection. You're even supposed to look at the color of your poop and pee to look for signs that your body is unhealthy. Aren't bodily secretions wonderful?

I do, in fact... It's gross, but I used to get really bad nose bleeds, so now, out of paranoia I guess, I check to make sure my nose isn't bleeding...

the color lets me know if it's regular mucus from allergies
or if I might be brewing a sinus infection
