I played pretty well about ten-fifteen years ago and stopped playing but I really want to get back into it now. Looking for an acoustic guitar, steel string probably dreadnought that sounds good and not too hard to play, about $400 - $600. Specifics would be appreciated. Thanks for your answers.

You can actually find a decent Martin at Musicians Friend for that. For $600 you won't find anything great, but you can't go wrong with a guitar that says Martin on the headstock. Go to the Martin website and just take a look at the artists that play them

A few of my friends have Tanglewood acoustics, they're pretty fantastic for the price. Play great and sound better than a lot of guitars more expensive.

Buy an acoustic b/c they are the easiest to play when you are beginning however if you aren't buy an electric because you have the most options with it. Just use a pick so you don't hurt your fingers strumming!

A Warlock if electric. If acoustic then try a Fender.

You'll have to check out the prices but I recommend Mcpherson.
