Depends on which myth you're going with. In the original days when people thought of vampires, it was mostly just a wooden stake to the heart. Now you can burn them, decapitate them, or subject them to sunlight. "Blade" has also added the idea of their allergy to silver, but that's for werewolves in my opinion.

Depends on the legend and country but mostly Sunlight, beheading, silver or wooden stake, in some countries if you bury a potential vampire facing down. In Japan theres a legend of a vampiric floating head and you have to find and hide the body. Oh and my fav dumping sunflower seeds in front of your house, the legend says they will spend the night picking them up. Apparently vampires are obsessive compulsive. I could go on but I think thats enough.

Crosses and garlic keep them away, in some mythology the cross will inflict burns on them, wooden stake to the heart is to kill, Silver is a repellent, Sun light will cause combustion
for the most part these are all universal, but their effectivness is often on a sliding spectrum, much like the ability of a vampire to control their bloodlust.

Keep it out in the sunlight. Stake it through the heart. Spray it with holy water. Make it eat garlic. Also they can't enter a home without being invited. They can't cross the threshold of a church. They can't bear the site of a cross. And they dislike silver.
These differ depending on what movie your watching or whose book your reading.

According to legend a wooden stake though
the heart ,holy water doused by a priest .and garlic. But in Romania where Transilvania is they do it different they put cloves of garlic down the throat and sew it shut .
