I give advice that I don't follow in cases where the question pertains to something that is outside of my personal belief system.

For example, if someone is asking how to get a divorce, I might advise how to find a lawyer, but I don't believe in divorce; I try to make a point of stating such things in my answers when they are outside of my personal realm though.

Also, if I give good advice and I'm not following it and it does pertain to me, I'll state that as well, because sometimes, it's good advice, but I ignore it, and in answering the person reading my statement shouldn't think I do what's right, when I don't.

But to just sound wise... No. I want to be as helpful to the querant as I hope they will be to me when I ask a question.

no. i give advice that i follow from my personal experiences to help others out. i did not have something like this when i was growing up so a lot of the stuff people get help with on here i had to learn on my own. i think that helps me relate to others and help them better. good luck.

Yeah I actually do that quite a bit to be totally honest. I do it so that I might encourage someone, but I would usually never do the things that I suggest to others because I am not bold enough to do so.
