i mean each day i become more aware of the huge misunderstanding towards us !!
first of all i'd like to say that most of arabian girls are NOT as bad as u think :
lool we laugh, tell jokes, go out, we have boyfriends & we're almost free to do whatever we want, really u can't imagine the FUN we have down here,, & by the way not all the arab girls wear the scarf, as a matter of a fact these days the number of girls without wearing that scarf are bigger than those who wear it, for instance :Lebanon < arabian country> considerd as paris in lattest hot fashions & we care alot about our outside look & fitness..
and about arrange merrages got it NOW !!
thses days we can choose whoever we want to marry as long as the parents agree..
and about being vergin, well..
it's not that bad i mean it's soo romantic to save your self to the special one who'll spend the rest of your live with, pls forgive my english, am trying my best in here,lol ;) am waiting for ur replies

Habibti i feel your pain. Stupid people in my school keep asking me why i dont wear hijab and if i am racist against jews and if my brother is a suicide bomber just because I am arab. not to sound conceited but i am defenitaly not ugly and i meet alot of guys who are all over me UNTIL they find out where i am from then they get scared and run away. Its so stupid alot of people tell me "WOW YOU ARE TOO WHITE TO BE ARAB YOUR HAIR ISNT BLACK ITS MEDIUM BROWN AND YOUR EYES ARE A LIGHT BROWN!" and actually i am dark compared to my cousins who are blonde with blue eyes! alot of people dont understand we have natural beauty with out plastic surgery, exotic natural beauties. I am a Muslim too and at my masjid probably only 2 girls wear the hijab, NOBODY wears it anymore and they ALL DATE BEHIND THEIR PARENTS BACKS!! we are human too, we are just like any other girl just sexier with a rich cultural background and if they dont respect that then f^ck them who needs them.

Well, sadly the only view of Arab's we have is what is on television or in movies and they never paint a very pretty picture of anything. Stop worrying about what others think of you. You know who you are and that you have a good life. Be happy with that. I mean you started out by saying what the hell does "Americans" have against you. You might want to widen that to most of the world. Every culture has something against other cultures. It is because we have never experienced your life and know that we like ours so we can't understand how you are happy with what most consider strict regulations. And the whole thing about being a virgin it great. Our religion teaches that also but so few actually follow it. Sadly, most have the philosophy of you should try it out before you buy it. Referring to having sex before marriage. My husband and I were each others first. I am glad we waited. So, just be happy that you like your life. Don't worry about what others think. And PLEASE stop thinking it is just us Americans. I hate that I get put into a stereotype because I am American. It is the whole world not just us.

I don't have a bad idea towards women of Arabian descent. I think a lot of what it is is unfamiliarity. Many Americans like things to be assimilated to our culture and the Arabian culture is very different to the American.

And as for the abstinence until marriage, way to go. I totally agree with you. Totally.

I totally agree with you! I'm american but I never thought anything bad toward Arab girls. I know that there are just the same as the girls here if not better! hehehe :) Oh and don't worry about your english! You should see me try to speak Arabian! lol

I served in the military with many Muslim guys, and even some women, on sub tenders, which were staffed with 50% women. We're not all backward thinking apes........so maybe you should check YOUR racism and stereotypes .

Americans just believe what people tell them, and they like to hear about how their country is better that everyone else's. Even though things are better than we think, in a lot of the world, there is some bad out there. This, mixed up with the nationalism makes Americans simpleminded in thinking that there nation is the greatest, and everywhere else sucks.

A lot of my friends in college were Arab guys and gals---they were the only people I felt I had anything in common with, to be honest. They valued family, friends, and most of all RESPECT. And this is coming from a Cherokee woman, as American as a person can possibly be.

I actually do not feel that way. The problem is that Christianity and the US Government need to trash talk arab people in order to make their point. I don't buy into it. I think arab girls are GORGEOUS! Will you marry me? j/k But seriously, you ladies are hot. And some of the coolest chicks in the world. So don't let rednecks and the US Government get you down. Americans, Im sorry to say, are very narrowminded. There is nothing wrong with Arabian girls. I personally happen to think that they are beautiful, and their culture is amazing!
