(I ask in this section, because I get more, intelligent answers)

This was his message: "Hey there, I'm sorry to say I may have to cancel tonight. I've come down with a fever and lost my voice, so I wont be any fun. Please don't hold my illness against me. I really do want to hang out with you and get to know you, it's just I'm a big baby when I'm sick"

BTW, this date was just movies and dinner at my house. We weren't going out.

Sorry, I am the type that does not give second and third chances. If they break a date with me then I just move on.

Well, since it was only the second date, give him the benefit of the doubt. Wait until he is better and then see if he cancels another date. If so, then there is a pattern.

First of all, have you confirmed the story with his parents, sibling(s), friends, etc.? Of course they might lie for him, but it might be worth a shot. Secondly, I believe that every one deserves a second chance (if they are really trying to do the right thing). ISo, if you are just getting to know this guy, I'd say, give him another chance.

He was sick for God sake. Didn't feel like going anywhere (even if it was just to your house). What's the big deal. I f he wants to date you he'll call you when he feels better. And men are huge babies when they're sick.

I think it's nice that he didn't want to get you sick as well. Why not text him back and ask if there's anything that he needs.

Of course, if he doesn't call again or return your calls, it was just an excuse.

I would give him the benefits of the doubt. Maybe he really is sick. See if he calls you again, and take it from there.
