I've heard that most North American women do not like men with foreskins, especially long foreskins and smegma. Comments?

it's GROSS. i don't care what is "natural" for men - i haven't met one guy that say the sex is "worse" cuz he don't have foreskin, only the ones that have it say that -- two words: "head cheese".....buh bye!

people who have grown up in an area where foreskins are rare seem to find the look of foreskin a bit weird or distasteful or unusual. However, since the majority of men in the world are still as mother nature made them, that is largely a regional phenomena. In fact it is mostly limited to areas within the US since Canada (and I believe Mexico) is not know for cutting off foreskins.

As for smegma, well that is entirely a personal hygiene issue and has little to do with foreskin. any guy who washes himself properly has a clean penis and smegma is not an issue. Then again some people seem to like smegma just as some like S & M or B & D or other such things.

A foreskin is a natural part of a man's body, just as the labia majora and minora are part of the women's. They may not be the best thing in the world to look at, but that's not their function. They are part of system that provides sexual arousal. The foreskin is studded with nerve endings that provide pleasure to the male. Do women prefer to reduce their men's pleasure for an aesthetic look? How would it be if men asked women to trim the clitoris so it didn't get in the way?

Our genitalia developed over millions of years to provide pleasure and to complete the act of insemination. They do a really good job at both of these things, and neither one needs trimming.

Smegma is only a problem in undesirable men who have poor hygiene. The vast majority of adult males don't develop smegma, because they wash daily. Washing the foreskin is just like washing your butt - you do it daily in the shower and don't have to worry about it the rest of the day.

To all those yapping about smegma, the white deposits found under the clitoris hood( how many actually women wash under the hood?) is smegma.

Bet you wouldnt find many women lining up to remove the clitoris-hood though

As Searcher said, whether people like the foreskin will be regional. Here in the uk, most women have no opinion about foreskins as most men have their foreskins

I am not a woman so i wouldn't know. However i think that foreskins are kinda ugly. And smegma is just nasty, keep it clean and there will be no problem. However for the actual sex part there is no difference, so a women really shouldn't base whether they like a guy on if he's circumcised or not. I guess it's just preference, but it really shouldn't matter.

I guess american women don't get many complaints about their cheese, not only inside the clitoris but around the whole minor labia!!! as personally I have found in them and experienced, but did'nt say nothing as it is as natural as their bleeding days and still is possible for them to have sex.
May wish them cleaner, but in my mind I can't get the Idea to prefer them circumcised if because after all the only object to my satisfaction with them should be the vagina alone. The "cleaner" the better?
I would be just selfish, and sexist.
That women in USA think the foreskin is an optional to fancy is because they dont know what it feels like,so I doubt of their wisdom and even caring to have anything beyond. I even start to consider them reactionary or incapable, sordid.
A french woman on her intimate experience in America with men, declared to other colleagues that her problem with them was'nt cleanliness but "DISFIGURED" basics...less gentle. To be frankch

A full 90% of women who have been with both intact and cut men say sex is better with an intact man. http://www.healthcentral.com/drdean/408/60750.html Please click and read for a theory of why it is so much better. And a new study out this week proves conclusively, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that circumcision decreases sensitivity for the man. http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1464-410X.2006.06685.x

My husband is intact, and I have NEVER seen, felt, smelled, or tasted smegma on him. I only know what it is because I have to clean it off my own genitals.

Sexually it doesn't make a difference, some prefer it to be circumcised, it's more a matter of maturity. Usually if it's erect before she sees it, she has no clue that it isn't circumcised.

They "say" that it is cleaner if the foreskin is not there, but I think that it depends on the person and how well he takes care of himself.

Not really, most women don't because foreskin is harder to keep clean and bacteria can get in the folds a lot easier than circumcised.

Yes, it is true, and only because of the hygene issues. If the men don't consistently keep the foreskin clean, it increases the chances of the women they are with, of getting seriious infections. I guess it would be different if a person had foreskin, and they put in all the required extra effort to keep it very clean, which most men these days don't seem to have the time to do. :)

I'm a female who likes foreskin fine.
As for the "hygiene" argument, I wouldn't sleep with a circ'd guy who doesn't bathe either. Apparently one of the other answerers would.
Most of the reactions are because people are unfamiliar with it...but think about how many times people talk about "latin lovers", and how fabulous they are in bed....not realizing that your latin lovers are almost all foreskinned.
