Are you ready to be mystified by my vast knowledge of trivia?
Your forearm: from the wrist to the bend in your elbow is how long your foot is.
If you put your index finger straight out, and put your thumb up next to your index finger to the first knuckle: that's how long your nose is, from the tip to the bridge.
Your arms outstretched is how tall you are.
The only parts of your body that continue to grow with age, are your ears and your nose.(so the finger thing only lasts for so long, I guess)
Contrary to what some believe: your hair and nails DO NOT continue to grow after death. In death your skin shrinks from dehydration giving the appearance of growth.
This ones a trip. You have to use a dining room chair, or one that's not too heavy. Put it where you have a bit of room, stand behind it, and take 2 or 3 steps back from the chair. Bend at the waist and pick it up. Only a woman will be able to pick it up....a man can't. The best part is watching them get frustrated at not being able to pick it up!!!! Just a little fun, for next time you want to mess with some guys ego.
That's about it for me. If I think of anything else, I'll update.
Great question, and some really interesting answers.
Take care
After seeing the answer above I remembered this: no word in the English language rhymes with orange.

I read sometime that the remedy for tooth ache in some part of the world was this:

Are you sitting down?

They took a splinter of a wood piece that was hit by lightening and kept it near the paining tooth for like three days and then hammered it back into the tree. If the tree would be hit by lightening again, the pain would go.

Also, the standard measures were nto so standard. for instance in Britian an inch was as long as a perticular king's nose. And if the king changed, the measure of an inch would change too.

Hippos take care of their babies for eight years... i find that very intriguing.
