Okay.. I'm thinking about getting a new iPod. I already have iTunes with all my songs and I really don't want to have to buy them and get them off my CDs all over again. If I end up getting a new iPod video, can I keep the iTunes I have or will I have to start over?

well if you already have all the music on your computer and want to put it on an ipod it will go on it no prob. itunes will recognize an ipod is connected and it will update it and it makes no difference if its a video ipod the only difference is the other ipods don't accept videos and games as for if you have itunes six and you want to use itunes seven an itunes update wont cause you to loose your music.

You should be able to save them to your computer and then you can download them to your new iPod. Check the owner's manual for your version and see how to save them to your computer. You shouldn't have to go out and buy everything all over again. Plus, when you downloaded your CD music, it should have saved the music to your My Music folder--or something similar.
