I'm not even in high school yet! And the one thing I want to be in high school is unpopular. Because at the high school reunion, the kids who were popular in high school show up in some cheap little dress or tux with their cheating spouse, while most of the kids who were unpopular in high school don't even show up because they're either shooting a movie, having dinner with the president of Russia, or recording a hit CD.

No, I wasn't popular. Drama nerd.
The biggest positive effect that had on me was I never had a bit of nostalgia for those "good old days." When I went to my high school reunions, the popular kids didn't seem to have moved past that stage. Some even dressed the same!

I was a loner, social anxiety affected, nerd in high school. Most people hated me based soley on the fact that I had a high GPA, was in AP classes and made honor roll every 9 weeks. They thought I was a "show off" about my grades.
I really had NO friends all though high school and I never dated either. I was outed as a lesbian in high school too.
10 years later I am VERY popular, have lots of friends, and on my way to a degree in the healthcare field. While some of those pepole who made fun of me in high school are fat, with a million rugrats running around, and working at the local gas station. Go figure. I like the quote from Bill Gates, "Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one."

I was pretty popular in high school ... It really didn't make a difference because the people I still talk to are the people I was closest with, a lot of people went away to college, some people had falling outs, and some just disappeared ... so it really doesn't have an impact on the rest of your life ...

Nope. For the most part it didn't bother me. Right after high school was the same for me. I was really shy and I idolized some of the popular kids. One of them murdered a classmate and another is a convicted sex offender. i guess the nerdy Miss Me was not so bad after all!

I was a heartbreaker. VERY sweet and kind, very cute. I wasn't popular as in queen of the school or anything, I wasn't mean enough. I also had a bf that went to a different school, so I ditched out on alot of the social stuff. I don't know if it effected me. I suppose if I had been popular I would be different, but I also would have had to have had a different attitude in order to achieve that status, so I just don't know.

No i'm not popular. But I guess it doesnt make any difference. A matter of fact, i glad that i was not the popular/the bad boys. Most of them ended up as the average Joe after their graduation. Well me, i went to the university, graduated and got a degree with me.

You're talking to the Prom Queen. But after I left high school, I never looked back. I've never even been to one high school reunion. Like you, my popularity was pretty much confined to high school, although i met some very cool friends at the university.

I was popular to pick on and spread rumors about. Now I work for NASA's Space Shuttle Program. I feel like Ben Folds when he sings "One Angry Dwarf and 200 Solemn Faces."
"I'm one agry dwarf and 200 solemn faces are you! If you really want to see me, check the papers and the TV. Look who's telling who what to do..."
