Are we playing jeopardy? Because I swear someone picked the category "Absolutely Nothing" for 500. Oh..we aren't playing jeopardy? Then is this a trick question? I must have read the question wrong, because no one in their right mind could possibly think he is the best and most successful president ever. All those who do are in denial or just haven't paid attention to anything he has done (or not done for that matter). Now let me tell you how I really feel...

His appeal to the conservative right, God loving, fanatic, Christians. Don't get me wrong, nothing again st Christians, but Bush used them as his main support (as he was targeting them) in his re-election. I would not say he is "the best and most successful," because he is not. Yes, he and his aides used good "strategery" to get the vote, but that does not make you a good president. As to you slanted question. We cannot count 9/11 as something that made him a great president. If I was a head of a political club, walking down the street and suddenly a bus full of people would hit a building five yards away from me, would that make me a better leader of my political club? I doubt it, if anything, I would be traumatized. Also, the decisions that the president made after 9/11 were not the right ones. Invade Afghanistan, Iraq... maby Iran and Syria? Can you compare G.W. Bush to lets say Roosevelt, Lincoln, Washington or Jefferson? No, not even close, thus in answer to your slanted question... nothing. He's not even in the top ten. Sorry.

I know he is successful, just not for the USA. He is the most successful president for big corporations like Halliburton, and the rest of them. He has made them trillions of dollars while the people in the US and everyelse gets stepped on.
Wacth this, its just basic economics, the demand for everything is growing, and the supply is dropping fast. And the the greedy want a big piece, so they leave the rest of the leftovers for the bigger part of the population. We are fighting for the smaller piece while the greedy takes more from our losses. eventually we will become extinct metaphorically, and become the slaves of the greedy, just to get a piece. a piece that was ours to begin with.

Nothing except that he is convinced that he is, and certain gullible scared Americans choose to believe it's true.
By any objective standard, though, he's a horrible leader. He's arrogant, misinformed, and willing to use force to achieve his ends, while he's utterly unwilling to compromise with anyone whose views differ. He'd rather intimidate and bully and connive and rush the opposition into going along with his plans in the name of pressing, vital national security.
I guess if manipulation and secrecy are your criteria, then he might be the most successful US president.
Those aren't character traits that I value, though you might.

The same thing that made the Chicago Cubs the best and most succesful baseball franchise the league has ever had.
The Cubs haven't won the World Series in 100 years, by the way.

In terms of killing Americans and non-Americans, destroying the US Constitution, making America the most distrusted and hated nation on earth, ruining America’s reputation and effectiveness at influencing international geopolitical issues, making terrorist organizations larger - more popular - more powerful/effective than ever, and putting both America and the world at greater risk of terror attacks - Bush is certainly in a league by himself.

It all depends on how you define success.
He's certainly the most successful at violating federal laws and getting away with it, based soley on the number of federal laws he has publicly admitted violating, and the number of times federal courts has confirmed he has violated those laws. And not just any laws, but hundresd of felony counts.
So, as a lawbreaker (not lawmaker), he's been very successful.

He has made some wrong decisions, he's human just like the rest of us. But the way he handled 911 made me proud of our country. His belief in God has made him a strong president. I wouldn't say he is the best president we have ever had, but he has been a good one for the past 8 years!
