Now days fewer and fewer people show many lying symptoms as their conscience is nearly dead. Many people these days can lie very convincingly and the more convincing they are, the lower their moral integrity.

When people of high moral fiber try to lie, their voices shake, they won't make eye contact, they may stutter, their voice is either too soft or too loud, they change the subject, etc. (Young children are not very good at lying and adults who have morals act much like a young child looking just like a deer caught in the car's head lights.)

People with low moral fiber actually believe the lie they have convinced themselves of and can tell it very convincingly with not visable symptoms to reveal that they are lying at all. Not nervous a bit. Many people are very experienced liars.

I don't know that most peoples' voice does warble when they lie, I've never noticed that. But I would say your voice might change pitch or have a different tone due to the tension in your body from the stress of lying.

It all depends on the person people have different signs when they lie like preparation, rapid blinking and eye movement etc. But some people can lie with no obvious sign that they are doing it.

It doesn't in all people.

To know if somebody's lying, the best thing to do is monitor how loud they speak and notice which types of questions they avoid. Most people, when lying, will raise their volume of their voice and much more quick to aggression or sadness (which one depends on the individual's personality) to dodge issues.

Because they are afraid that you are going to know that they are lying....they can't look you in the eyes when they are lying either. Unless, they lie on a daily basis, even then their body language gives it away.
