is anyone else quite shocked with the lack of ps3 that are being sold in europe?? i've checked lots of shops...and they ALL seem to have quite a few still in stock. seriously. i still find it hard to see that the wii is still out of stock in some stores...demand is way higher than supply!

i have a wii and xbox 360..and still paid less than if i bought a ps3. it way too expensive.

also, does anyone else kinda realise how blu-ray players in shops now cost like £700, really how could the blu-ray in the ps3 compare as it costs SO much less??? hmm?!

you could say ..its way better than the wii and 360 because its got so much stuff in it..and the only thing wrong is the cost...but thats like saying a ferrari is way better than a ford fiesta...its only the price...

maybe the ps3 will sell when its goes cheaper and has better games, but what loss will sony have by then??

its good to see nintendo back on top!!!

Whatever Sony say, the PS3 will be used as a games machine only, and £425 is just too much. People in the UK are fed up with being ripped off, and vote with their feet.

As to Blu-Ray, nobody knows yet whether that or HD will become the standard format, so you could end up with an obselete sytem (like Betamax).

I used to like Sony products, but since their MP3 players with stupid ATRAC files, they can shove it.

I Don't Think That People Really Understand What The PS3 Is Capable Of. I Think That When Some Better Games Come Out People Will Then Begin To See How Great It Acually Is. Many More People Are Are Buying The Wii Because They Think Its More Fun For All Ages. What I Don't Like About It Is The PS3 And XBox 360 Are Both Next-Gen Systems While The Wii Is A Last-Gen System.

i think it may also be due to sony "p1ssing" all over europe by releasing it here last! 5months after asia and US! so people are probably basically saying NO the xbox has been getting rave reviews sinceits realese it has a massive library of games and has even better ones coming out all the time! roll on Halo3!!!
For the PS3 to get better the price needs to come down and the games need to get better and some exclusivity which is about as limited as GTA and Gran Turismo

Well, it's not Xmas and there are no 'must have' titles out yet. In addition to that, us Brits are getting pissed off with paying more than everyone else for a lower spec machine (PS2 not in hardware any more) + waiting so much longer than the US and Japan to have the opportunity to buy one. Just one or two of these negatives probably wouldn't of put people off buying a one, but put all of them together and you get an alienated fan base who have lost a lot of goodwill for Sony. But it was all Sony's own fault, it seems they wanted the PS3 to fail in Europe.

I think it might be because they delayed the release date for months.
Also, don't forget that the Wii came out at xmas, lots of people *had* to have it then, with the ps3 I don't think many people are actually worried if they get it now or in a month.

I live in California so..... I don't know what your talking about. Sorry. Here, it's REALLY hard to find a PS3. They're selling like crazy! I got one. Lucky! It was the last one at the time! LOL.
